OK this day SUCKS!!!!

just got back from taking my cat, Buffy, to the vet and the initial prognosis is NOT good. She has lost almost half of her body weight from 11 to now 6.5 lbs. Vet says wth a weight loss like that its never a good result. So he shaved her chest area and took some blood Now i have to wait 6 hours before i can call back and find out the results. Whether my cat gets to live or die, whether she needs surgery ( which i have no idea of how i am going to pay for it ), whether she needs more tests or x-rays etc, or hopefully that she'll just need some antibiotics and then she'll be ok.

Man did i mention this SUCKS!!!!

I am contemplating several options to help pay for things if the "save her life" solution is possible. Maybe canceling DC trip, or better yet have a "save buffy fundraiser" where i can sell all of my star wars toy collectables on ebay! Can you sell a car that you haven't finished paying off yet?

And if this turns out to be expensive there goes all of my costuming projects that i have in the works. If i can still go to DC i guess i'll just be TKing and maybe officering the whole weekend. ( sorry firefly group wash may not happen now )

I feel sooo sick right now.

With my roommate buying a house and leaving by the end of July and combined with my inability to find a new roommate i may be moving. I started looking at apartment listings on Craigslist.org and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions. Other places to look? If you know of any good places for rent?

Jodi, I am looking to stay in this area are there any areas of waltham that i should be cautious of or avoid?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am hoping to find a place for just me ( no roomates ) that is under 1000 a month and hopefully that includes some or all utilities. Oh and they have to allow pets ( my two cats are coming with me ). I have already found several listings in waltham that meet that criteria but not sure on area/location and won't decide anything till i see the places in person.

Went for breakfast with Krista this morning to this really cool diner in Watertown Square called the "Talk of the Town Diner". And damn was it good. Huge portions, really yummy food and good prices. Plus the atmosphere was oldschool 1950s. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for something different.

So don't know about anyone else but yesterdays parade was fun but man was it rough. Think i ended up with some kind of heat stroke, exhuastion or something. I think i cooked my brain. When i got home yesterday my forehead was throbbing and burning. Lokked almost like a bad sunburn but i had my helmet on for most of the day so not sure that was the case. Its still hurts and burns a little today and its also giving me this nagging headache. Kinda wierd since i have never had that kind of reaction to trooping before.

Asside from that i did have a blast. Wish i could have joined everyone for the festivities afterwords but i had promised my friend i would do his cookout ( even though we were really really late since the parade was soooo slow and took us forever to finish ). I loved the battleship pictures. That was really cool. And i was really amazed at how well we managed to get around that ship with full armor on.

Oh and saw Oceans 13 on friday and would highly recommend it to fans of the franchise. It was on par with the first and much much better than the second one. Very enjoyable summer movie.

Ok so just gotta say that life is frakken GREAT!!!! Work is going well; money is starting to come in regularly; my friends and family are all supah awesome; the NEG and 501st is always a blast and seems to be getting better with each passing day; I have some really cool trips planned; Had a great time visiting sandweasel; and now i am dating the greatest girl EVER!!! I haven't felt this great in a really really really long time.

This past weekend i had a total BLAST!!! Friday was Krista's Birthday adventure which consisted of a tea and cake party, dinner at the rainforest cafe and then dancing at a club on mass ave in cambridge. Saturday was a super lazy day just sitting around enjoying existance, wathcing some movies and then saturday night Krista, Jodi, Brian and I went to the coolidge corner theater to see the Buffy Sing-a-Long which was followed by a prom. That was just AWESOME. I had soooo much fun... even got to throw some bunnies!!! Don't worry they were stuffed ;-) Sunday was another great day which started with a huge breakfast ( mmmm yum ) then more of being lazy ( the stormy day made it very easy to be lazy ). Then dinner at Not your average joe's was mmm mmmm good.

In all it was one of the best and most memorable weekends i have ever had. Even work has been good this week. Think my good mood is carrying over to the work. So like the title says...

LIFE is GREAT!!!

Hopefully everyone else is having at least half as great a time as i am right now.... but heres to wishing thats its more!!!

Ok so i have finally found some time to actually check this "Live Journal" thing out. Between the holidays and my Pasadena trip my free time has been extremely hard to come by. Top that off with all of my clients going absolutely nucking futs since the start of the new year and i'm running around like a chicken who's lost his head.

Well 2007 is here and it's starting off pretty good ( except for the aforementioned clients ). Pasadena was awesome. Got to hang with 501st members from all over the world, march in the rose bowl parade and even meet the maker himself. Last weekend i saw the Patriots win yet another playoff game by killing those hated new york JETS ( boooooooo hisssssss ). And i got to do it in 60 degree temperatures ( which is unheard of for Pats home games in January ).

And now i have a bunch of cool Cons/trips to look forward too as well... NY in february, LA (C4) in may and dragoncon in Atlanta for labor day weekend. Its gonna be a real adventure!!

So here's to 2007 and all it has to offer... cheers!!!
